Drift away..

I'm used to it by now.."

They swarm in like bugs to ceased light. Bringing with them, personal destruction that spread as wild fire. The small extinguisher inside me bravely prepares to hold its own-

Strategizing for survival, hoping with a;; might that my outcome is victorious.

   There are so many..

So many in need, such chaos, my brain, my mind pounds with each elevated voice, I hear.

Deep breaths, no sweat, soon this step will be over and I will have taken two forward.

Hush.. "This too, shall pass."
